Carer

The subject of carers is very wide and the tax position is varied. The main areas we will look at are:

• Unpaid carers (that is - carers who get Carer’s Allowance or other benefits, and carers with other ‘non-caring’ paid work)
• Carers who are paid for care work
• Foster Carers (and others looking after children under Special Guardianship orders, or Residence orders)
• Shared Lives Carers
